Day 5-- Sacred Grove

Day 5--Tuesday, June 21 THE SACRED GROVE

The plan for today was to head to Seneca Falls to see the Women's Rights National Park...but it was closed. So our instructors decided to take us to the Sacred Grove a day early so we could have a lot of personal time in the grove. We all walked off on our own, and I found a bench in a secluded area where I could be by myself. I decided to listen to'Joseph Smith's First Prayer' by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. OH my goodness it was amazing! I was crying once the song finished because the choir are amazing and helped me pictured it all. The quiet time I had in the grove is the most calm I have felt in a very long time.

We had a large lunch and dinner that night and then Dr. Bennett decided that we should all go out for ice cream as well. They ordered us all mediums and they were huge! I couldn't finish it and I felt insanely stuffed when we got back to the hotel.

Joseph Smith Sr's log cabin

This is the home that Alvin started building for himself and his fiancee but he passed away before he finished it. The rest of Smith's finished it and lived in it for a short time (because some Jerk face went behind their back and bought the house from the guy they had a loan with. The jerk claimed that they had run away and the loan officer believe him! Stupidness...)
