July 20

So I should never give promises on this blog. I obviously did not post screen shots from Facebook, and I still have not taken the time to even take these said screenshots. But today I was finally able to get my phone to connect to my laptop so I could finally upload my pictures onto the computer. Yay! I'll do my best to upload the best of the 350ish pictures.

On Monday I took my D&C final. I took forever on it because my mind went blank on how to answer the essay question. I was still able to finish in time and got a 94%! So I should pass the class Yay! The church history final was on tuesday and it still has not been graded (or at least my grade has not been uploaded to learning suite.) I'm hoping the score will be posted soon so I can stop worrying about it.

Today, Wednesday, was the first day of our 225 Foundations of the Restoration class. Near the end of class a Catholic Father came and spoke to us on what the Catholics believe. He was a really nice guy and was able to cover our differing views without getting riled up. I have never really known what the Catholics believe so it was very nice to hear from him.

A few Sundays ago we went to a Lutheran Sunday Service

A song we sang (that I liked) from the Lutheran Hymn book

Lutheran Church building in Nauvoo

Note the best picture, but there were fireworks here in Nauvoo. It was so cool to see the fireworks behind the Joseph and Hyrum statues

On Parley street is the Trail of Hope, plaques that have quotes from the saints that were kicked out of Nauvoo. Hosea Stout has 3 plaques. Makes me cry reading his words...

It got dark by the time I was able to make it to Parley street. Hopefully you can read what it says

Some quote as the one above, I can decide which one is easier to read...haha
Kelsea giving her site report by the Joseph and Hyrum state by the Nauvoo Temple

While we were in Warsaw studying about the Warsaw Signal newspaper, we saw this funky place with the really cool door. Charity, don't get any ideas...

I believe that this is a court house. This is where Joseph and Hyrum were taken at first when they got to Carthage Illinois.

Inside the visitor center at Carthage Jail. I remember my dad took a picture right here. It was crazy to walk in here and have it be almost exactly as I remember

When I came in 2001, my parents got a picture of me and Nathan by this statue. I wanted to 'recreate' the picture but my brother wasn't there so we used Brodie...and then I forgot to position myself like I was in the...*face palm*

On July 19 I got to work in the Women's Garden. They had us weed around the trees.
